Transport for Wales Graduate Scheme
Role: Transport Operations, Business Generalist Graduate
Location: Pontypridd
At Transport for Wales (TfW), we have big plans to transform the Welsh transport network. It's our vision to connect communities, create jobs and make travel across Wales and the borders more accessible than ever. That's where you come in.
On this scheme, you'll blend formal learning with practical experience. With a collaborative approach, you'll work closely with project teams and internal stakeholders. You'll be responsible for delivering quality projects on time and within budgets, all while keeping an eye on potential risks. This will give you a great understanding of different elements of a project lifecycle, all while developing your communication and management skills.
Throughout this two-year course, you'll work towards achieving a professional qualification. As part of your learning, you'll take part in six practical development workshops and four webinar sessions. Plus, you'll combine your academic and practical learning to deliver a personal project that contributes to TfW.
To apply, you'll need to have a degree in a relevant area, such as Business Studies, Business Management, Operations Management or something similar. Your studies mean that you're now confident at prioritising tasks and balancing your workload. And as a real team player, you'll enjoy delivering team projects and working with others. Work or volunteering experience in a related field is desirable, as are Welsh language skills. If you're keen to develop your skills, we want to hear from you.
