An exciting new startup focusing on cyber security is looking ready for their next growth phase. Standing at 50 strong they have impressive plans for the upcoming year.
Despite their relative youth, their products are already being used by large organisations with tens of thousands of employees across sectors including banking, insurance, media, telco, law and government.
The Role
These roles are suitable for both those who are immediately available and those in their final year of study.
Joining this rapidly growing firm as an Electronics Engineer you will be designing and testing sophisticated electronic circuit boards and other key hardware components for their cyber-security products.
Your role would include:
- Requirements gathering and research in order to select appropriate electronic components.
- PCB design and layout using Altium Designer Nexus PCB design tools.
- Management of PCB, mechanical and system-level design data using product life-cycle management tools.
- Creating and building low-level software and firmware to test programmable electronic devices.
- Using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters to debug issues.
- Aiding in the compliance and certification of new hardware.
- Working with production engineers to ensure a smooth transition to high volume manufacturing.
Requirements
You should have:
- Master?s degree in electronic engineering (or a similar technical subject) with a classification of 2:1 or better.
- Demonstrated interest in digital electronics using programmable devices.
- Understanding of multi-layer PCB design.
You should be:
- Self-motivated, enjoy technical challenges and delivering results.
- Flexible and adaptable and can cope when thrown in at the deep end.
- Able to recognise the importance of planning, prioritisation and getting work done on schedule.
- Communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate with team members and have excellent interpersonal skills.
You must already have the right to work in the UK.
Knowledge of the following would prove beneficial:
- Python scripting and coding in CC++.
- FPGA firmware implementation in VHDL.
- Embedded Linux systems.
- PCB debug and test including boundary scan.
