Our client is one of the UK's largest retail banking groups. Their goal is to be the best financial services provider in the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to become an Analyst for the Risk Analytics team. The purpose of this role is to work alongside the credit risk, market risk and operational risk teams, within both commercial and retail banking. In this role you will be involved in the building and improvement of credit risk statistical models, strategies and decision systems to manage decisions throughout the credit risk life cycle.
This role will involve working on a range of analytical and modelling projects. You will be conducting research and development of new analytic techniques and strategies.
The role involves large scale data analysis and statistical data modelling.
The essential skills for the role are as follows:
- Minimum 2.1 degree in Maths, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related.
- An A-level in Maths
- An interest in applied mathematics and statistical techniques
- Excellent modelling skills
- Logical approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to look at large data sets
- Strong Excel skills
- Some knowledge of statistical software
- Ideally some work experience in data analysis
