The Company
A huge international integrated trading company. They are active in many different industries and sectors and are a truly global organisation, with a global profit of over $2 billion.
The Role
Strong company performance and ambitious growth plans have led to multiple opportunities within their global operations department. This commercial management training programme is designed to develop future leaders and will allow you to gain a full understanding of how the oil and gas industries operate.
A truly global role with huge career prospects offering extensive opportunities to live and work abroad. After an initial three-week training period in America starting June 2020, you will return to the UK and start to work on specific projects related to the business, specifically upstream operations. These projects will be international so you will find yourself engaging with major international clients from the outset.
You will spend time in three distinct business areas:
Technical: Working with oil producers, identifying and implementing the required infrastructure for Oil and Gas projects by conducting technical and business analysis of the infrastructure, and gathering requirements for rigs, wells and pipelines.
Commercial: A combination of supply chain, finance and client services. You will work closely with oil producers providing costs of projects and controlling project inventories and potentially helping with bids for new projects or project expansion.
Client Services and Trading: Working with independent oil and gas producers and manufacturers, building relationships to provide the client with increased infrastructure. Conduct risk analysis and compliance to ensure that the client is capable of providing funding for the infrastructure.
Over the course of an 18-month training programme you will receive extensive guidance to help shape your career.
