Our client is a pioneering and award-winning ecommerce retailer.
The non-food side of the business is now undergoing rapid expansion, with two new sites launched in the last 18 months, and more to follow in the coming months. The company is looking for an experienced and ambitious Web Analyst to help them understand how customers are engaging and interacting with the sites.
Using both Google Analytics and SQL, you'll be providing the answers to questions like:
- When customers first come to the website, what's the first thing they do? Does it make a difference that it's the first visit to the site? Or if they have a voucher?
- What worked for this year's Christmas events and what didn't?
- Which are the most profitable acquisition channels?
Based on your answers to these questions, you'll be expected to make recommendations to a variety of departments, including UX, Web Development and Merchandising.
You will also be expected to take ownership of the web analytics solution, and mentor junior members of the Web Analyst team.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Google Analytics or SQL, and an understanding of the other
- Good Excel skills
- The ability to influence decision makers based on your findings, and the confidence to work with both internal and external stakeholders
- A willingness to mentor junior members of the team
Desired skills:
- An understanding of SEO
- Previous experience in an ecommerce retail environment
