Our client is Britain's biggest airline carrier measured by number of passengers carried, operating domestic and international scheduled services on over 600 routes in 32 countries.
Key responsibilities of the role:
The Operational Performance Data Analyst is responsible to the Operational Performance Manager, taking individual responsibility for the timely production and analysis of operational data with the view to driving improvements in operational performance at network and airport level.
Day-to-day activities will include:
- Provides detailed reporting on all operational performance metrics. This includes but is not limited to on time performance, airport revenue, customer satisfaction and turn performance to ensure that the company has an agreed view of actual performance.
- Ensuring the completeness, accuracy, robustness and timely production of all reports as appropriate.
- Provision of analysis and support for LGW resource planning and oversight
- Development of innovative reporting methods through the use of Tableau.
- Identification and reporting of operational trends in an easily understood format to drive performance improvements at network and airport level.
- Training of other members of the Ground Operations team to use existing and new reporting tools
- Creation of regular and ad-hoc reports using OPS MI SSRS reports and cubes.
- Support of 0900 first wave conference call
- Assisting with creation of New World Contract Monthly Adjustment Reports
- Deputising for the Senior Ops Performance Analyst as required
What are your key candidate requirements for the role?
- Educated to degree level or holding an equivalent professional qualification
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include experience of working with large data sets using pivot tables, lookup tables and macros.
- Experience of Microsoft Excel VBA is a distinct advantage
- Proven analytical data manipulation skills with the ability to make appropriate judgements and forecasts based on relevant information.
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Accuracy and attention to detail when working under pressure
- Tenacity and resilience to succeed in a fast paced, demanding and changing environment.
- High degree of personalprofessional flexibility.
