This company is a small but impressive Satellite Systems Integrator, offering the Broadcast and Telecommunications market a complete range of turnkey solutions.
As a result of continuing growth, and a full order book, they are seeking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic junior engineer to support the company across the breadth of its operations. This opportunity would suit a candidate looking for a position within a small, dynamic company and offering excellent opportunity for progression to more senior levels
The main job function is to provide assistance to the Senior Engineers in the design of Satellite Communications systems and to assist in the on-site test and commissioning of systems. The role will potentially involve frequent travel throughout the world.
The job is based at the company's headquarters in Essex and candidates should therefore live in, or be prepared to relocate to, the local area.
The following section lists the typical functions the successful candidate will be involved in, either initially, or as a result of progression within the role:
- Engineering assistance to Sales.
- Assistance to Project Management.
- Assistance to Engineering.
- Factory Test and Acceptance.
- Site Test and Acceptance.
- Site Customer Management.
- Customer liaison.
Progression to Senior Project Management level is desired and may be accelerated for those promising candidates.
Requirements:
- You must hold a degree in a relevant technical discipline such as; Electronic and Electrical, Systems, Communications Engineering and Physics (if you have relevant experience)
- We are looking for 2:1 equivalent degrees however, if you hold a 2:2 please apply and we will consider you.
- We are looking for candidates who have a sited interest and ideally have some experience in the telecoms or satellite industry.
- Good communication skills are vital as you will need to communicate across teams and potentially to clients when on site.
- Strong practical skills are highly desirable.
