My client is a consulting and advisory firm specialising in the Oil and Gas industry. The company has been providing detailed data and information on the worldwide oil and gas industry since 1986. My client has developed a number of publications, databases and analytical services to assist senior executives with business decisions.
Due to continued growth my client is looking to expand its team by recruiting an exceptional candidate to join them as an SQL data analyst.
Your duties will be varied and include:
- The development of dashboard reporting tools to give the company?s analysts the ability to prepare bespoke online reports for clients which they can use to turn queries simply and quickly into a visual and interactive representation of the results.
- Support the development of new products, tools and solutions focused on data related to the offshore oil and gas industry. Work with the different teams and develop an understanding of where IT development could increase interconnectivity between different colleagues' work and data sources. Translate this understanding into a stepped workflow and assist existing SQL analyst with implementation.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and be able to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You will have a strong interest in learning about and integrating new technologies into the business. It is essential that the successful candidate is a team player but is also able to work independently and within tight project deadlines.
Essential Skills:
- You should be a graduate or expecting to graduate with a 2.1 or higher (or equivalent) in a numerate or technical subject
- You should have strong Database ( SQL) skills OR have significant exposure though your course to data modelling software and or ScriptingProgramming languages and be prepared to become an SQL guru though training.
