As a leading UK company they are celebrating 50 years in the design and manufacture of a range of sensors and systems for the marine, environmental, defence, homeland security and industrial process control markets.
This is an exciting, expansive job that will involve a variety of work. Working both independently and as part of a team you will contribute to all aspects of the product life cycle from initial research and analysis through design and development into production and implementation.
The role will involve hands on analogue and microprocessor based circuit design for precision instrumentation applications with some real time embedded software development.
All of your initial training and experience will allow you to take on more responsibility and manage full projects. Additionally you will work with all other departments and often give technical support to sales and marketing, as well as to the customer support manager.
Occasional travel is expected throughout the UK and even offshore at times.
Open to fresh and experienced Graduates there is a healthy salary on offer which is completely dependent on your experience.
With the varied opportunities in this job you will need a diverse skill set. We are looking for bright Engineers with a 2:1 or higher degree in Electronic Engineering and a minimum of 300 UCAS points at A-level. You will be an excellent communicator with energy and enthusiasm to lead projects, and will be keen to learn new skills and work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Technically you will be skilled in analogue circuit design, PCB layout, FPGA technologies, embedded C and desirably CAD. A driving licence would be ideal although not essential.
