This company offers a range of marketing solutions, information systems and consultancy services to a number of businesses from all industry sectors; they employ over 15,000 people globally. The role is within the location strategy team, they focus on providing consultancy services on potential business sites to leading brands predominately in the retail and leisure sectors both in the UK and internationally.
The team conducts projects that build complex and bespoke statistical models for clients using predictive and forecasting techniques; this ultimately leads to them informing their location and customer strategies. As a result of an exciting project pipeline they are looking for a number of analysts to join the growing and dynamic team, the right candidate will be either a graduate or someone with up to four years' experience in a role where they have advanced mathematical or statistical modelling experience working with leading retail brands. The position requires a considerable amount of client interaction and any successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator.
Essential Skills:
- Candidates must hold at least a 2:1 level undergraduate degree in a numerical subject such as Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Geography, Economics.
- Experienced candidates need to have experience working with statistical or mathematical models.
- Commercial understanding of the UK retail market.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in location planning strategy, retail location planning, demographic or customer analysis or insight.
- Good knowledge of UK geography.
Desired Skills:
- A post graduate course in a numerical based subject.
- Exposure to GIS software
- Experience working with SAS, SPSS or another statistical package andor programming experience eg VBA, SQL
- Knowledge of BI dashboard tools such as Qlikview, Tableau.
