In this role the Intern will be responsible for providing support to the members of the Marketing Department.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in all aspects of Int'l Marketing campaigns, from basic office admin to supporting marketing ideas that fit the new forms of music consumption.
-Assisting in the scheduling of new products (physical and digital) and overseeing the production process up to release.
-Managing the output of promotional music to the markets via PlayMPE (singles and albums) by liaising with Digi Promo.
-Ordering video content from BAM2.
-Liaising with supply chain to ensure the delivery of physical stock.
-Assist team members with the completion of weekly Executive Reports.
-Using our in-house finance system to manage departmental invoices ensuring that all external suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
-Keeping abreast of new music released worldwide, by following charts, liaising with int'l offices, and tracking social media activity.
-Collating large amounts of data into presentable tables, reports or presentations.
-Office admin includes printer/photocopying/secretarial duties, booking travel, handling expenses and invoices, and organising meetings.
-During periods of absence of any other team members, you would manage their day-to-day tasks.
Person Specification
Essential:
-A fan of music
-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a good telephone manner
-Practical individual with previous office experience
-Excellent PC skills including a good knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
-A passion for learning and new ideas
-Ability to take responsibility for projects of all sizes
-Comfortable solving problems independently as well as part of a team, prioritising heavy workloads, working -under pressure and multitasking
-Must possess the ability to prioritise to tight deadlines with a strong sense of initiative and discretion
-Careful attention to detail
-The ability to learn quickly
-Dedicated to completing tasks within deadlines set
Desirable:
-Basic to advanced knowledge of Universal and the Music Industry, and the opportunities problems we face
-Areas of expertise in IT and Technology (web design, social media, Photoshop)
-Experience in other parts of the industry (playing in bands, gig promotion, student radio, music journalism)
