About the Scheme:

Starting in September 2024, with four diverse placements over two years across our Management and Scientific Operations/Programmes, you’ll experience hands-on learning, and gain a 360-degree view of Sanger Institute from day one.

You don't need to be a Scientist to contribute to science. Our Graduate Scheme welcomes individuals from various backgrounds and expertise with or without a degree. This scheme is perfect for those who want to launch their career while working for an employer who focuses on improving human health. Our ambition is to select people with great potential and a passion for what we do. 

Throughout your time with us, you will have access to a wide variety of campus-run courses,  access to a mentoring scheme plus you will have regular conversations about your progress and ambitions with your managers and HR. 

What happens after the Scheme? 

Our commitment doesn’t end with the scheme. We are keen to grow our own talent at Sanger Institute. At the end of the two-year training period, the offer of a permanent role will take place through an internal recruitment process for appropriately suited roles based on skills and organisational gaps.
