Transport for Wales Graduate Scheme
Role: Graduate Project Manager
Location: Pontypridd
At Transport for Wales (TfW), we have big plans to transform the Welsh transport network. It's our vision to connect communities, create jobs and make travel across Wales and the borders more accessible than ever. That's where you come in.
As a graduate project manager, you'll contribute to the deliver of a wide range of infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams, you'll manage various elements of the project lifestyle. From scheduling to resources, you'll deliver projects in line with cost, time and quality requirements.
Our infrastructure projects range from station and road enhancements to major network overhauls. It can be complex, so you'll be highly organised and able to multi-task. While you can follow directions, you'll also use your own initiative when required. You'll also be a confident communicator with experience of delivering team projects. And you'll do it all while taking advantage of on-the-job training.
Throughout this two-year course, you'll work towards achieving a professional qualification. As part of your learning, you'll take part in six practical development workshops and four webinar sessions. With access to TfW resources, you'll also deliver a personal project that contributes to the organisation.
To apply, a degree in engineering, project management or a similar field is essential. Work or volunteering experience is desirable, as are Welsh language skills. If you're looking to build a career as well as the future of Wales' transport, we'd love to hear from you.
