The RSPB are looking for two GIS support analysts to join their Conservation Data Management Unit to deliver our GIS training, user support and data migration programmes. You will have a strong knowledge of geographic information systems and the ability to train and enthuse others in the use of GIS. You will need an eye for detail and you will need to understand and be able to process GIS data in a wide variety of formats. You will be able to provide a high level of customer care and you will have the ability to use your knowledge and experience of GIS to provide a high standard of technical support to the RSPB's GIS users. This is a 9 month contract.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level in geography or a biological science or similar or have equivalent experience of working within GIS or conservation. An interest in the natural environment and knowledge of current conservation issues would be a distinct advantage. You must be willing and able to travel extensively within the UK.
