Renishaw offers exciting opportunities for graduates on their two-year development programmes designed to develop ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individuals into skilled experts in their chosen field.
What Will I Gain From This Graduate Scheme?
This programme will be based on a series of placements where you will work on real projects, aligned to your ambitions and interests, that will deliver tangible results to this global business. By investing in your personal development, we hope to build up and broaden your knowledge and experience to create a confident and skilled professional to prepare you for a meaningful role within one of our product or services divisions.
What Type of Things Will I Be Working On?
Today’s quality engineer is far from somebody who measures things or audits processes; the role is fast-paced, exciting, and varied dealing with reactive challenges as well as proactive developments to ensure all areas of manufacturing provide the best possible service.
Quality engineers contribute to ensuring products and processes achieve the highest standards. The role is varied and calls upon a range of skills including communication, design/manufacturing engineering, systems and programme management and knowledge development.
During your personalised 2.5-year scheme, you will embark on a range of hands-on and fully engaged placements (typically six months) in different areas of the manufacturing environment. These are specifically designed to both expose you to, and train you in, key quality engineering and quality management system-based functions. You will be working closely with our design, procurement, engineering, and operational teams to influence design for manufacture, commodity manufacturing and inspection methods, management systems, product assurance and control, external supply chain processes, and a wide variety of proactive projects.
By the end of the scheme, you will have developed an idea of which area you would like to specialise in for the next stage of your career development with broad opportunities available. This will come with further training and mentoring opportunities to continue your professional growth.
Where Will I Be Working?
This role is based across at our Woodchester site near Stroud, Gloucestershire. As Renishaw is based in a semi-rural location, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the local area. There will also potentially be short trips to Miskin, South Wales.
What Do I Need?
Candidates will ideally have a 2:2 or higher (or equivalent) in a technical (STEM) or management-related field.
