What types of things will I be working on?
Working in the IT and Security Applications department, our Data Analysts play a vital role in helping the business understand data. This position requires the ability to create strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support and develop vital business reports. Working as part of the MI systems team, you will have the chance to get involved with real projects that will see you gaining skills in a variety of areas. Your role could involve, but not limited to:
- Helping define and implement data and governance strategy across the group.
- Implement the Power BI adoption roadmap and administering the Power BI estate.
- Developing a detailed knowledge of the data sources within the Renishaw group.
- Interpret requests and deliver the information using the most appropriate solution and in a clear and concise format.
- Developing strong working relationship with key stakeholders.
- Contributing to the on-going development of Renishaw’s ERP and financial reporting applications.
The scheme will involve working under the mentorship of our experienced Analysts and functional manager on ongoing IT projects. As well as gaining hands on experience in your chosen field, you will have the opportunity to connect with people working in the business and discuss your career ambitions and ideas with employees in similar roles.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in New Mills, near Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need and how do I apply?
All relevant degree disciplines are welcomed. What is more important is that you have strong IT skills, including basic skills in data modelling and database development and effective communication skills, particularly the ability to translate technical and complex detail into widely understood business terms.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered.
