What is conference production?
Conference production provides graduates with an opportunity to take on real responsibility from the very start of their careers. marcus evans producers are responsible for developing conferences from an idea on the page all the way to a large-scale industry event. This entails researching with senior professionals in the industries that we serve, designing conference agendas, acquiring speakers and providing direction for sales, marketing and sponsorship teams, who will rely on you to provide the commercial angle for the event. Successful producers will get the opportunity to move up quickly through this dynamic organisation, with opportunities for promotion to management.
To excel in this group, you must demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, employ excellent communication skills to deal with senior decision makers, honed project management skills and, most importantly, a drive to succeed.
Applicants should be graduates (min 2:1 degree) with drive, enthusiasm and initiative together with 1-2 years commercial experience. Additional foreign languages and a background in journalism or project management will be a distinct advantage. The position will involve European and international travel so a valid EU passport or UK work permit is required.
