This company is a leading socio-economic research consultancy with a long history of success and a reputation for innovation. They specialise in economic impact analysis, social policy research, learning and skills, education and children, among other areas.
They are currently seeking a passionate graduate consultant with some transferable experience in a previous role to join their Leeds office. Assisting with the delivery of projects and supporting on both quantitative and qualitative research, candidates should have a keen interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Education and training
- Children and young people services
- Family support services
- Charities and the voluntary sector
You will be working alongside directors and more senior consultants. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of projects within the socioeconomic field. Other duties include preparing and writing reports, presenting to senior colleagues and eventually clients, designing and implementing surveys, carrying out fieldwork including research interviews (face-to-face and telephone), and conducting detailed quantitative analysis.

Requirements:
You will have a relevant degree with a genuine interest in socioeconomic issues. You should be able to demonstrate the key skills required for consultancy, analytical research and evaluation, and project management with the potential to influence clients, generate income and develop new business. The ideal candidate will have a driving licence and own a car but this is not essential.
- A 2:1 equivalent or above in a relevant, numerate degree
- Excellent communication skills
- Around 12 months experience in a transferable role
- Strong attention to detail
- Exposure to statistical analysis is ideal
- Demonstrable interest in socioeconomic issues
