Fullers Management Programme

Fuller Smith and Turner P.L.C. is London's last remaining traditional family brewer and our mission is to be the benchmark in retailing and brewing, delivering quality, service and pride in everything we do. In short, we want to brew the best beers and run the best pubs.

Fuller's, as we are more commonly known, is based at the historic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, sandwiched between the River Thames and the Hogarth Roundabout on the busy A4.

Our brands include our flagship beer and the UK's leading premium ale, London Pride, the world-famous ESB and Discovery Blonde Beer, a refreshing golden ale. In 2005, we acquired George Gale and Co Ltd of Horndean, Hampshire, and added Gales HSB and its other beers to our excellent portfolio.

Our pub estate spreads from Birmingham and Bristol to Battersea and Bournemouth. We have over 360 pubs and bars, including six hotels and a number of pubs with accommodation. Around half of our pubs are managed, while the rest are leased or tenanted.

Would you like to be managing your own pub within 2-3 years? Then this is the graduate programme for you.

This 2-3 year programme will give you everything you need to manage one of our unique, quality pubs. Whilst every pub or inn with rooms is proudly individual, our focus on delivering the highest quality remains the same. You will build the expertise required to deliver Delicious Fresh Food, Outstanding Cask Conditioned Ales, Great wines and Engaging Service.

Our carefully designed programme begins in October each year. The programme consists of a number of placements in our pubs, where you will rapidly work your way up from a team member to supervisor and then to assistant manager. In each pub you will be coached and developed by one of our highly successful pub managers, many of whom have worked their way up through our business.

At the end of the programme you could be managing your very own business with a turnover in excess of £1 million per year.

Training and Development

Alongside your placements a structured development programme will ensure you gain a solid understanding of what creates a successful pub. You can expect to spend two or three days each month attending training workshops and development programmes where you will build the creative flair, leadership and commercial drive to lead a challenging business.

Whilst your placement pub manager focuses on your day-to-day development, your Graduate Programme leader will manage your placement rotations and support you to achieve your overall potential.

About You

Only those with a genuine passion for hospitality need apply! Regardless of your degree subject those with experience within the Hospitality, Leisure or Retail sector, will be strong contenders for our programme.

You will have the entrepreneurial skills to develop a business and an absolute passion for delivering "Engaging Service" and creating a great customer experience. You will also have the potential to lead a large team and the business acumen to successfully manage budgets. You must be able to work across London and the South-East.
