The Company
My client are a leading player in the international telecommunications market. Having been established for over thirty years they now have over 1,000 clients in over 100 countries. They provide the technology behind our current 4G networks and are driving through innovative products which will become the basis of 5G's products and services.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic support engineer, who would relish working within an established team environment where you can learn from senior members of staff. You will use your networking background which can be either from commercial exposure or academic experience and scale within the team. You will work on interesting real projects which may see you travel internationally.
Qualifications and Experience
- Work experience in a technical role or a relevant technical degree.
- Knowledge of Networking e.g. IP protocol, UDP, uni-cast, broadcast etc.
- Experience of IP tests tools and methodologies e.g. Wireshark, iperf etc.
- Experience working with Linux OSsystems.
- Ability to document procedures and results clearly.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own with minimum supervision.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current UK driving license.
- Valid International Passport.
Experience in the following would also be an advantage:
- Working experience with commercial products based on at least one of the following technologies:
- LTE
- WiMAX
- 802.11acn
- Microwave backhaul
