Since 1988 this company has provided market leading expertise and the highest levels of service in the recruitment of market research, insight, planning and analysis professionals. These markets are typically always in demand for the best talent which is great news as their services are always needed.
Over the years, they have managed thousands of permanent assignments and have helped even more individuals, recruiting from the most junior up to Director level, for a prestigious client base.
They are establishing an eight-week graduate programme to develop their next generation of successful Recruitment Consultants. The training comprises external courses, on-the-job shadowing and in house role-playing.
The role is a Trainee Recruitment Consultant and is very sales-based. You will be tasked to develop relationships with clients who you identify would potentially look for marketers or market researchers and look to sell their opportunities to suitable candidates. The company has capacity to grow in each of their three specialist markets. During your initial three-month training period you will be shadowing experienced consultants across all sectors and benefit from one-on-one training with the company director and some external courses.
Once your probationary period has passed you will then be assigned a specific area to start building your business and will look to become an expert in your field. This expertise will be your biggest asset as marketing recruitment is more than 'matching' skill sets to a job - you will really need to get under the skin of your candidates in order to identify their suitability for job roles. They do not throw lots of CVs out in the hope that something sticks.
The expectation is that you should be looking to bring in £60-100k of business in your first year and £150-200k in your second year. The basic salary is from £20-22k depending on experience and commission each month is 10% up to £11k then 20% for any billing thereafter. The average fee is around £8000. When you move up to a Senior Consultant level there is a significant pay rise, an additional car bonus and a 25% commission band is introduced. To become a Senior Consultant you need to bill £160,000 in a 12 month period.
