An innovative executive search and research firm operating in the global financial services markets. Their pioneering approach to candidate analysis and decision making has helped them to consistently grow the business over 25 years, enabling them to venture into new vertical markets and new countries.
The role is called Research Associate. You will be reporting to the Senior Associates in the Hedge Fund practice, placing executive level talent across Europe and Asia in Debt, Equity and Quants. 60% of the mandates in this team are 'retained assignments' and the rest of the roles worked are either exclusive or opportunistic.
The team are winning a number of high-end recruitment mandates from their clients and are looking for support so they can execute these campaigns through the delivery of world-class talent.
Responsibilities:
- Help to develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need, and develop appropriate targeted source lists
- Help to leverage deep insight into the external business and talent landscape to build and drive effective executive search strategy (market research)
- Conduct market intelligence activity on a day to day basis
- Build organisation maps
- Regularly update the system with information
- Be involved in researching various sectors and hiring trends in the hedge fund sector
- Meeting and interviewing candidates on an ongoing basis
- Assisting with client pitches and meetings

The salary is £21-25k and bonuses are on offer twice yearly.
Requirements:
- Graduated in a traditional degree subject from a leading university. Given the sector, those who have studied business, economics or finance would be of particular interest but the remit is not restrictive
- Experience in recruitment or other professional sales environments
- Good MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint
- Naturally inquisitive
- Diligent, strong work ethic, personable and high attention to detail
- Smart and articulate
- Genuine interest in the world of finance. You will get to speak to and meet a lot of high-level professionals at the top of their industry and need to be genuinely interested in them
- Presentable in appearance
