The Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Project Officer with great communication skills and extensive experience working in a client facing role. The position is full-time and the goal is to ensure the smooth implementation of deployments with a strong focus on client management. You can discern what is important to a client, and deliver a solution based on an existing product and the professional services surrounding it. Customer handling skills are prominent in this role. You can confidently build project momentum, and balance requirements and deadlines to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Project Officers are responsible for:
- Working with Project Managers in the planning and coordinating of activities to manage and implement projects from initiation to final operational stage.
- Assisting with determining business requirements, and translating requirements into specifications.
- Attending work-stream meetings and ensuring all actions or decisions are captured and logged.
- Working with Project Managers to effectively manage change in requirements, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, and priorities.
- Conducting customer training sessions.
- Experience in managing data and generating reports is an advantage.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of developing relationships with internal and external customers
- Able to update the project plan
- Understand the importance of defining and realising benefits from the client's point of view
- Ensure key milestones are met within aggressive budgetary and timescale constraints
- Have excellent stakeholder management skills
- Have a business focus and be able to take a step back and look at the wider picture not just the detail
- Be able to adapt their work style to suit different project teams
- Be delivery focused
