What type of things will I be working on?

An industrial placement within the Renishaw software development team will allow you the chance to contribute directly to our current product development, as a means of learning software engineering in industry.  

You will have the opportunity to:

• Build on your existing software skills by working as a member of a software team whilst following the Software Development Lifecycle
• Be provided with programming tasks to help move the product closer to delivery
• Be enrolled in various training courses and support should they be required

Where will I be working?

This role is based out of our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.

What do I need and how do I apply?

This industrial placement scheme is suitable for students who are required to undertake a sandwich placement as part of their degree course. We are looking for people who are studying a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or similar.  

Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in medical devices will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
