Transport for Wales Graduate Scheme
Role: Graduate Engineer
Location: Pontypridd
At Transport for Wales (TfW), we have big plans to transform the Welsh transport network. It's our vision to connect communities, create jobs and make travel across Wales and the borders more accessible than ever. That's where you come in.
As a graduate engineer, you'll support the delivery of our projects and infrastructure objectives. We're investing millions of pounds in the transformation of our rail network. So you'll work closely with our teams and stakeholders to ensure we stay on track. You'll be involved with various elements of a project lifecycle, ensuring we deliver these in line with time, cost and quality demands.
You could work with teams including asset engineering, signalling or project delivery. No matter where you're placed, you'll contribute to their success. And, you'll keep project stakeholders in the loop with timely updates on progress. From schedules and scope to risk and contracts, you'll gain a rounded understanding of our operations. Plus, you'll balance your day-to-day tasks with academic study.
Throughout this two-year course, you'll work towards achieving a professional qualification. As part of your learning, you'll take part in six practical development workshops and four webinar sessions. With access to TfW resources, you'll also deliver a personal project that contributes to the organisation.
To apply, a relevant degree is essential. This could include electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering. Work or volunteering experience in a related field is desirable, as are Welsh language skills. If you're passionate about civil engineering and share our ambition, we want to hear from you.
