How Things Work...
Tata Steel recruit graduates and placements into 3 main business areas, core to the success of our company. These are Manufacturing, Engineering and Technical.

Within the Manufacturing function you will ensure our plants run smoothly and production targets are achieved.  Working within the Engineering function you will ensure our production facilities achieve optimum efficiency, while our Technical function develops and improves all our grades of steel.

Tata Steel has the size and diversity to tailor careers by providing real life projects from the outset and challenges that will be interesting, dynamic and relevant to the business. Those entering the company receive on the job and formal training designed to develop management and technical skills. Our structured training ensures knowledge of products, Tata Steel as a whole and the function through rotational placements alongside normal ongoing career progression.

However, the training will not stop there. Tata Steel is committed to Professional Accreditation, providing a professional mentor and training that will support you in becoming chartered with the appropriate professional bodies (e.g. IMechE, IET, ICE, IoM3, etc).
