This is an exciting time to be joining Simba Smoby Toys UK as the company is rapidly expanding and is recruiting for an exceptional brand manager to help the UK marketing manager deliver on the ambitious goals.
About The Role:
The assistant brand manager will report into the UK marketing manager and support the development of the UK marketing strategy working with both the UK marketing manager and brand manager. You will work collaboratively with the marketing and sales teams to co-ordinate the preparation and provision of sales tools for new product launches and presentations to retailers. You will also assist in compiling findings from competitive reviews and sales performance data using NPD and EPOS tools for the provision of business reviews. You will be responsible for updating and managing costs prices as well as external price lists, presentations and marketing calendars and will also be working with the sales and marketing administrator on image content.

This is a hybrid role - you'll have the option to work from home up to 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Update the annual product pricing model with latest cost prices to help review profitability
- Update weekly EPOS tracker with retailer sales data to measure performance of items
- Build and update the external product preview presentations and assist with presenting ranges
- Ensure sales agents and online retail teams have all product information and assets
- Update trade price lists ensuring all pricing and information is up to date
- Review and amend product marketing copy when required
- Help collect product assets for online pages for optimal E-Commerce presence
- Help organise and collect sales and marketing presentation samples for meetings
- Support in the planning and execution of exhibition stands and trade catalogues
- Write marketing briefs for third party agencies for marketing plans
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor trends and ensure ranges are best supported at retail
Candidate Requirements
- 1 year of marketing experience preferred
- Previous work and or internship experience within the toy industry a massive plus
- Skilled written, verbal and client-facing presentation skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proactive, energetic and hungry to learn and develop their career
- Ability and willingness to travel within the UK, Europe and overseas when necessary
