Safran is excited to launch its 2024 Graduate scheme in partnership with Roxel. Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops, and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles used by the Defence industry.
Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France, and it has an annual turnover of about £100M and 800 staff. The main UK operations are located at Summerfield near Kidderminster in the West Midlands.

What will I be doing on this graduate programme?
You will be aligned to a specific business area within Roxel, this will be either Mechanical or Production Engineering. During your two-year programme, your role could involve rotations in teams such as development, analysis, test and evaluation and production engineering. During your graduate scheme, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Design, qualification, and validation of rocket motors within the development team.
- Mathematical and systems modelling to analyse physics, proponents, and pressures of motors, as well as in-depth data analysis.
- The testing and trialling of component parts.
- Designing and scaling up manufacturing processes.
- Working with a range of people including project managers, project engineers and stakeholders.

What skills do I need?
- A 2.1 or above (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- A passion to deliver on projects and show responsibility and drive.
