What type of things will I be working on?
On this 1-year Graduate scheme, starting September 2025, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the design and development of cutting-edge technology. This role will enhance your understanding of industrial design and human factors across various product life cycle stages. Your day to day activities will include:
- Collaborating with project teams to conduct user research
- Reviewing concept designs against human factors and design best practice guidelines
- Developing solutions and recommendations to improve designs
- Communicating ideas through sketches and technical reports to support recommendations
- Planning and running usability studies with prototypes
- Planning collaborative work activities with project teams
You will gain valuable knowledge in multi-discipline projects, understanding the diverse roles in Renishaw’s product innovation process. You'll support engineers in designing new products, redesigning existing ones, and enhancing internal processes.
What career opportunities are available?
Training and support are offered as required on a continuing basis to support your technical and professional development. Graduate engineers in Renishaw may progress through technical grades into senior and principal engineer roles. However, depending on your skills and preferences, progression through technical and senior manager grades is also possible.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
We’re looking for passionate graduates with a degree (or equivalent) relating to industrial design/product design engineering.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
