Renishaw offers exciting opportunities for graduates on their two-year development programmes designed to develop ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individuals into skilled experts in their chosen field.
What Will I Gain From This Graduate Scheme?
This programme will be based on a series of placements where you will work on real projects, aligned to your ambitions and interests, that will deliver tangible results to this global business. By investing in your personal development, we hope to build up and broaden your knowledge and experience to create a confident and skilled professional to prepare you for a meaningful role within one of our product or services divisions.
What Type of Things Will I Be Working On?
Our graduate application engineering scheme runs for 2 years within three placements in application engineering functions. Applications engineering forms a crucial link between Renishaw and its many customers around the world. Applications engineers work directly with customers to understand their specific technical requirements and ensure that the manufacturer's product meets them.
In most cases applications engineers will be requesting adaptations and enhancements to their company's existing product technology; however, they might also initiate the design and development of a completely new product for a new market sector or application type.
As you progress within the scheme, you will gain knowledge and experience of a wide range of technical, manufacturing, commercial and business processes.
By the end of the scheme, you will have developed a wide range of knowledge that enables you to become versatile team members in a variety of roles. Many have gone on to work, for instance, as principle applications engineer, applications team lead, marketing support engineers, or product owners to name a few.
Where Will I Be Working?
This role is based at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw is based in a semi-rural location, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the local area. The site is around 25-30 minutes drive from Bristol so easily commutable by car.
