What Will You Be Doing?
During our 20-month People Graduate scheme, starting September 2024, you will get the opportunity to work on HR projects and initiatives across the People function to support Post Office being a great place to work. You will gain experience and knowledge across key areas of the employee life cycle through a rotational scheme across the function.
You will start off with an in-depth induction alongside all our graduates, giving you a broad overview of the Post Office structure and functions. You will then undergo rotational placements providing you with practical experience in core areas of human resources, giving you the chance to see where you might like to specialise in the future. Our key placement functions are:
- People Partnering: Partnering acts as the interface between the wider People team and the functional business areas; supporting decision-making, organisational change initiatives and organisational efficiency. In this rotation, you will provide proactive support to the business on all aspects of the employee life cycle, whilst balancing day-to-day stakeholder priorities.
- Talent, Learning and Development: Partners with leaders and managers across Post Office to support the delivery of the Talent Management Plan. In this area, you will gain experience in coaching and advising on talent processes and programmes to ensure that we are supporting the business to develop our talented colleagues for the future success of Post Office.
- People Services: Provides expertise in Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, People Shared Services and Organisation Design, with a specific focus on people products, processes and policies to serve the business. In this rotation, you will gain experience in case handling in Employee Relations to include capability and performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence.
With this structured People career path, at the end of your scheme, you will be able to specialise in an area of the function, where you will continue to be supported to develop and progress in the area best matched to your skills and aspirations.
