Graduate Tendering Engineer
Hitachi Energy offers an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Tendering Engineer to join our Grid Automation team. In this role, you will develop and support the creation of tenders, from the initial customer request to the contract handover to our operations team.
As a Graduate Tendering Engineer, you will become a member of our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. Our tendering organisation operates internationally with teams across Europe. Initially, your focus will be on the markets in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with potential growth to support our broader professional team.
Your responsibilities:
You will be part of a team that determines the solutions that meet our customer’s needs.
Determine with colleagues the efforts required across the diverse disciplines to manage, design, build and deploy our offers in a safe and timely manner.
Supporting the creation of cost calculation estimations and determination of the costs, margins, and sales price in cooperation with our sales team.
Contribute to the consideration of the risks to our business in conducting the proposed works.
Assist in the drafting of our high-quality offer documentation.
With time and experience gained, start to work independently and lead tendering activities.
Interact and work collaboratively with our Sales Team, European Tendering Team, Operational Team and Factory Units.
Who we are looking for:
A degree (or equivalent) at 2:2 or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Sustainability, Data Science or similar.
Fluency in English plus one of these additional languages is advantageous but not essential: German, Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Italian, or Croatian.
Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings. A full, valid driving license would be advantageous.
