Graduate Presales Engineer

My client is a specialist design consultancy providing electronics and software solutions to their customers.

The client is keen to hire someone to joining their very busy sales team as a presales engineer. They are able to consider candidates who have already graduated or those undertaking their final exams shortly. 

They need you to have studied a technical discipline such as engineering, IT, Maths or Physics, but be keen to be in a commercially focused role rather than becoming an engineer yourself. 

Your day to day will be varied and, working alongside an experienced sales manager you will be involved in the following:

• Prospecting for new business to CEOs and COOs
• Following up on inbound leads
• Helping the marketing team to improve quality of leads
• Preparing quotes
• Successful account management, making the most out of existing relationships
• Preparing pre-meeting research and literature
• Going to meetings with the business development manager when appropriate
• Attendance to industry exhibitions to network and build the brand

Requirements: 

• Degree in a relevant subject ( electrical, electronics, hardware, software engineering, maths or physics) 
• Positive outlook
• Presentable and professional
• High standards of oral and written communication
• Comfortable with numbers
• Genuine interest in tech
• Can be a graduate or finalist
• A UK driving license is preferred
