My client is a rapidly growing company selling innovative test equipment for the data storage industry for some of the world's best-known electronics manufacturers. They produce many unique products that are now critical parts of their customers' test processes. The company has grown rapidly over the last five years, with a strong client base within the USA, China and India.
This role is based in the Scottish Highlands - Approximately 40 minutes from Inverness. You must be happy to relocate to the Scottish Highlands to be considered for this role.
The client is happy to consider those who are in their final year as well as candidates who may well have some post-graduate work experience (salary can be negotiated if you have prior industry experience).
Daily travel to the company office is expected, though flexi-time is offered.
Working as a graduate hardware engineer you will be working to develop the latest generation of hardware products for this company. This will include all elements from development all the way through to final testing and release.
Responsibilities
- Product definition
- Schematic and PCB design
- FPGA/CPLD design and verification in VHDL
- Signal integrity analysis
- Device validation
- Manufacturing test development
- Internal and customer-facing documentation
- Analysis of RMAs and field failures
Skills
A degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) is required.
You must have experience of:
- Basic electronics theory
- Schematic design
- PCB layout
- FPGA/CPLD design
