A specialist chemicals distribution firm, who represent leading manufacturers from around the globe. They supply raw materials such as minerals, additives and pigments to a wide range of industries in the UK including cosmetics, health, household and construction.

Chemical Sales Executive

We have been asked to find an ambitious, highly-motivated graduate from a chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science background to start as a sales executive. You will be developing business with new and existing customers, with additional duties in marketing such as writing engaging articles for the website.

Following extensive technical and commercial training, the role will involve:

• Account management - maintaining and developing strong relationships with our existing customers, including responsibility for several industry groups
• Source new sales opportunities through responding to and qualifying inbound leads
• Route qualified leads to technical sales managers for further development and closure if necessary
• Identify new business opportunities through prospecting and market research
• As part of the wider marketing strategy and training, produce engaging technical articles and multimedia on a range of topics
• Assist in managing the company social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook…), posting regularly and engaging with customers

The role will be based in Tamworth (Staffordshire) but will involve travel in the UK and internationally.

Profile

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• 2.1 equivalent or above in chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science, or relevant industry experience
• Commutable distance or willing to relocate to Tamworth
• Full UK driving license and happy to travel domestically and internationally
• Experience in sales, marketing or copywriting is very welcome
