A market leading supplier of bakery products and ingredients to food service, manufacturing and baking industries with over 6000 business customers across the UK, 270 staff and a turnover of £120m.
They have just put together a company graduate training and development programme for their area sales manager roles as they look to bring in future leaders.
Graduate Area Sales Manager
A field sales role covering an area across parts of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. You can be based anywhere in this territory and must be willing to travel - a company vehicle is provided.
Typically spending 3-4 days per week on the road you will be managing, developing and increasing sales profit contributions with existing and new customers in your area:
- Establishing and maintaining sound business relationships
- Advising customers of current and future promotional activity and products launches
- Pan and execute sales opportunities within new markets
- To act as an ambassador for the group
- Dealing with any customer problems in a timely manner
Training includes:
- Spending time rotating around departments to understand the wider business
- Shadowing the regional sales manager
- Learning about the portfolio of products
- Attending external sales and negotiation courses
- You will be given a 2 year personal development plan at the beginning to help you to learn and progress
Package
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £23-25K and a company vehicle, and will be eligible for the bonus scheme. An additional perk is the benefits platform which offers discounts on over 800 retailers and there are a few other benefits.
Profile
- Full UK driving licence
- Degree educated, most subjects welcome
- Strong interest in food, particularly in baking
- Experience in building face-to-face relationships with customers
- Genuine motives to work in a target driven sales career
