The Desk Top Systems division of CPS is based in our Fareham office and specialises in the design, development and enhancement of banknote processing systems. They have developed cutting edge, high performance products in the fields of banknote sorter transportation, document feature detection and banknote processing analytics.
As a result of an internal move a vacancy has arisen for a Configuration Engineer within the team in Fareham.
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Product Support Lead the Configuration Engineer will be responsible for the following activities:
- Using a range of different configuration applications, compile currency specific templates for use on CPS desktop products.
- Interpreting currency note analysis data to suit the software algorithms
- Ensuring the maintenance of the master files and records, on the network for both security, back up and version control
- Operating and maintaining CPS banknote sorting test units
- Attending to in countryon site template installation enhancements
- Providing engineeroperator training
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to a minimum HNC standard (computer engineering sciences)
- Experienced in computer technologies and Windows Operating Systems
- Working knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards
- Some "hands on" experience with electro mechanical systems
- Previous experience in roles requiring a consistent and accurate attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Windows including Excel and Access programmes
