Military Air and Information is the air sector of BAE Systems, responsible for the design and build of fixed wing military and training aircraft, as well as providing training, support and information services for the UK RAF and other customers worldwide.
Structural engineering covers Structural Integration, Stress Analysis, Fatigue and Fracture, Dynamics, FEM and Loads, Weights, Qualification and Certification, Build-Line, In Service, OLM, SHM.
What you will be doing... (Role Duties and Responsibilities)
On a graduate placement an individual would be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of fast jet systems and the activities undertaken in the development and maintenance of such systems from a Structural Engineering perspective.
What we are looking for... (Skills and Experience)
- A foundation knowledge of Structural Engineering
- Predicted or obtained 2:1 degree in Structural (or closely related) Engineering and the right to work in the UK post-graduation
- Analytical approach and the ability to apply this to problem solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work with people from technical and business backgrounds.
- Commercial awareness.
