Lead Hardware Engineer

Based in Surrey our client is a privately owned technical consultancy specialising in the national security and defence sectors.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing PCBs using FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed network interfaces and analogueRF signal filtering.
• Simulating and implementing signal and image processing algorithms in VHDL for FPGAs.
• Performing schematic capture using OrCAD.
• Managing PCB layout, fabrication and assembly subcontractors.
• Setting to work PCBs including writing test firmware and software.
• Developing Linux device drivers for hardware.
• Mentoring others.

Due to the nature of this role you will need to be able to obtain UK govt security clearance.

You will have

• Have 3 or more years experience of complex PCB design.
• Have 3 or more years experience of FPGA development in VHDL.
• Have software development experience in embedded CC++.
