A leading consultancy specialising in digital transformation and enterprise architecture is seeking a skilled Data and Information Architecture Consultant to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of high-impact public sector and government-aligned projects that directly contribute to improving national infrastructure and services.
About the Role
This position involves applying your expertise in data architecture to help large, complex organisations extract the most value from their data assets. You'll provide strategic guidance and hands-on support for initiatives involving data governance, modelling, and solution design. As a trusted advisor to clients, you’ll be instrumental in shaping data-driven strategies that inform business-critical decisions.
You will work on a diverse portfolio of assignments, which may include:
Designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Developing and promoting adoption of enterprise-level data architecture frameworks, principles, and policies.
Advising on full-lifecycle data governance and management strategies.
Leading or supporting the procurement and implementation of solutions in areas such as data analytics, master data management, and data virtualisation.
Assignments may be carried out independently or as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team, depending on client requirements.
Key Requirements
We’re looking for individuals with the following core experience:
Strong background in data architecture, governance, and modelling.
Proven ability to apply architectural principles to optimise data use in large-scale environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
Experience engaging directly with stakeholders at varying seniority levels.
A flexible, solution-oriented approach typical of a consulting environment.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
While not essential, the following will strengthen your application:
Familiarity with architectural frameworks and modelling languages such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or UML.
Knowledge of data management methodologies (e.g. DMBOK or similar).
Understanding of modern data practices, including data fabric, mesh, and virtualisation.
Proficiency with architecture tooling such as BiZZdesign, Sparx EA, or Archi.
Experience guiding large organisations through enterprise-wide transformation.
Candidates must be eligible or already possess UK Security Clearance to be suitable for this position.
