The coalition are considering whether to allow universities to charge students from within the EU different prices for the same course to make it easier to fill course vacancies.

Officials in the business department are sceptical of what they refer to as "airline pricing" for students attending the same degree. Some feel it would not be considered fair, especially if students applying early were to be quoted a higher price than individuals applying late.
