Picture the scene. You've stepped off a train at a rural station in the Cotswolds. For the next three days you'll be living and working nearby, participating in an Accenture graduate recruitment Boot Camp.

You haven't been told exactly what will happen. All you know is that you'll be challenged and inspired. Any successful career is an adventure and you can't imagine a more exciting way to start yours.

This could happen to you. Boot Camps for selected graduates applying to join the Consulting team are just one of the innovations that Accenture UK has introduced this year, in response to changes in the expectations and priorities voiced by the highest-performing graduate applicants.

First-hand experience

What kind of changes? Well, Accenture's top graduate applicants said they want more hands-on experience of what their careers with the company would be like. In response, Boot Camps were set up, which offer insight into the excitement and energy they'll experience every day at Accenture through a collaborative learning environment. Successful Boot Camp participants are then fast tracked to the final stages of the recruitment process at the end of the camp.

They are always looking for graduates who can offer different skills and experience and as such, have designed dedicated Boot Camps to help in the search including specialist camps for graduates studying science, technology, engineering and math. The company have also found students are coming before their final year to ask about career opportunities. So Accenture are holding special Boot Camps for undergraduates in their penultimate year, meaning the best and brightest have the opportunity to nail down a job with a year to spare.

And make no mistake, the best and brightest are who Accenture are looking for. Despite all the talk about a downturn in graduates' job opportunities, the company have kept recruiting. This fiscal year Accenture are accelerating their recruitment drive to hire around 50,000 people globally with hundreds of graduate positions available in the UK.

Many directions

What if you're ready to head in a new direction today? At Accenture there are immediate opportunities available, outside of the Boot Camp programme. As one of the world's leading management consulting, technology services and outsourcing companies, a wide range of career opportunities are offered to help you achieve more than you may imagine. And there are these opportunities right now within Consulting and Accenture Technology Solutions.

Consulting will help you build a career that combines the best of business and technology, working with many leading organisations to develop the skills and experience that will help you to progress further and faster. Accenture are looking for high performers who can advise, plan and deliver for some of the UK's most successful businesses.

Accenture Technology Solutions is perfect for those aiming for a career in technology, with opportunities to gain deep technical skills across industries. Accenture can give you the training and coaching you'll need, underpinned by the expertise and experience to turn innovation into effective technology solutions for our clients.

At Accenture, there's a clear idea of the talent and leadership the company will need in the years to come. As such, they're always looking to attract the right people and in return they'll invest time and training to help take your career from strength to strength.
