Graduate Job Offer For Chelsy Davy

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy will start a job with law firm Allen and Overy when she graduates from Leeds University in the spring.

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy will start a job with law firm Allen and Overy when she graduates from Leeds University in the spring.

Miss Davy is currently completing a postgraduate law course, but has already accepted a post at the law firm, which was co-founded by an adviser to Edward VIII.

The company was created in 1930 by George Allen and Thomas Overy, but the reputation of the company was cemented six years later when it acted as a solicitor to the King during his abdication.

Mr Allen, nicknamed Poker Face by the King, guided the monarch through a dramatic period in history, which led to him giving up the throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Miss Davy, who was born in Zimbabwe, will now join the firm in London as a graduate trainee solicitor after the company made an employment offer to the 23-year-old.

Her romance with Harry, 24, reportedly came to an end after the couple returned from a holiday on the island of Mauritius after Christmas.
