Working in the Information systems department the successful incumbent will be expected to deliver applications and solutions based upon the requirements of the business. These requirements are likely to be on a project basis and all will be critical to driving the related business areas forwards.
Although the main focus will be on SharePoint Server technologies the role will offer exposure to a host of related technologies which include SharePoint Designer, .NET, SQL and the MS Office suite.
You will be involved with the development and enhancement of existing business applications. This will include the management and support of existing sites and applications hosted on SharePoint.
A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all projects and development work undertaken adhere to the IT controls set out by the organisation, you will also be expected to promote the collaboration and enterprise workflow across the business.
In order to apply it is essential that candidates:
- Have strong familiarity with MS Products and technologies in particular SQL MS SQL Server, MS Programming Languages (e.g ASP.NET and C#), Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server and Windows Sharepoint Service
- Prior work experience in a corporate environment
- Studies to have included some element of business Studies andor project management principles and their application
- Possess excellent literacy and numeracy skills, be diligent, accurate and persistent and be able to work with minimal supervision and take the initiative.
- You will also be expected to meet tight deadlines, and enjoy working in a team environment where you support your colleagues.
