A Sheffield-based graduate recruitment service has announced the creation of four jobs to help run its new internship programme.

Graduates Yorkshire says the positions, all of which have been filled by ex-students from the region, come on the back of strong interest from local businesses.

The initiative aims to ensure Yorkshire's top graduate talent has access to valuable work experience placements that could lead to full-time positions.

Daniel Patrick, who will soon join the team as a Business Development Officer, said: "I recently spent 12 months on a graduate internship programme in New York and know just how valuable these opportunities are to graduates.

Daniel, who graduated from the University of Hull with a BA in Human Geography, added he was excited to have the chance to create jobs for fellow ex-students, saying: "I'm delighted to be joining the team and to be part of such a worthwhile programme, helping to increase the prospects for fellow Yorkshire graduates is both worthwhile and exciting."
