My client is niche consultancy with a specialism in infrastructure optimisation and offering solutions for lowering operational costs and within the business.
They operate in a variety of sectors, but most recently have been aiding London Underground to save energy and running costs.
Successful candidates will become part of a team of rail industry experts that allows clients to optimise investment, maintenance and services to enable them to reduce costs and energy consumption while also increasing benefits.
The role entails:
-System simulation to demonstrate optimisation options.
-Develop and use propriety models.
-Utilise models and simulators to identify asset management strategies and identify power upgrades and system solutions.
-Consulting to the client to gain buy-in to the proposed solutions.
-Project management.
-Extensive client interaction.
Essential skills include:
-2:1 (minimum, preferably with Master's) in Maths, Stats, Engineering, Econometrics, Economics or related degree.
-Strong problem solving skills.
-Good working knowledge of Excel and a basic understanding of SQL.
-Outstanding communication skills.
-Organisation and project management experience.
