I am eager to pursue a career within either the financial sector or the consultancy sector once I graduate. I initially developed an interested in finance when I attended the Bright Network’s ‘Audit Tax and Corporate Finance’ internship with Bright Network. As part of this internship, I completed a work sample in which I was required to complete several tasks (such as documenting the stock count for an imaginary company’s inventory and performing materiality calculations). I found these tasks thoroughly engaging and they were able to provide me with introductory insights into the finance sector.
I have also completed Bright Network’s ‘Internship Experience UK: Professional Services & Consulting’. This internship required me to complete a work sample in which I was expected to use process-mapping to break down an imaginary company’s operations in order to spot inefficiencies and help the company increase their overall productivity. It allowed me to better understand how companies operate.
In 2020, I completed my A-Levels and achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. In my first year at university, I achieved a 1:1 grade and ranked in the top 10%, finishing second place out of everyone on my course.
