Team Description
The Merchant and Acquirer function is responsible for driving value from Visa’s range of ‘seller-side’ relationships. We work with clients who support Visa acceptance including merchants, acquiring banks, payment gateways, payment facilitators and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors).
We drive pan-European growth by establishing close partnerships and delivering relevant business development opportunities for our clients. This involves working in partnership with key internal colleagues across the Visa business including (but not limited to) client-facing sales teams, product, finance, and marketing to articulate the value of Visa vs. alternative payment methods and networks. Our ability to be successful rests on gaining a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, market trends, and ultimately client needs.
The team is also responsible for working in collaboration with colleagues to drive innovative programs that deliver incremental value to clients. This can cover a wide range of areas but currently includes initiatives to increase Visa card acceptance, grow the reach of Visa’s Digital Solutions, and expand payments across key growth sectors such as transit and EV charging.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity deep dive into the ‘seller-side’ of the Visa business and the wider payments industry in this position and learn from an experienced team at Visa.
