We’re one of the UK’s most reputable and established wealth managers, trusted for generations to manage and preserve our clients’ wealth.
An investment manager at Rathbones oversees diverse portfolios for private clients, and utilizes their broad financial market knowledge and client relationship management skills. They assess clients’ needs, recommending and delivering tailored investment services.
The Opportunity
We offer students invaluable learning through our 2-week Summer Work Experience Programme which acts as a stepping stone towards our Graduate Academy once you’ve finished your studies.
What will I be doing?
Over the course of 2 weeks students will spend time with colleagues including Investment Management and Financial Planning across both our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. You will gain insight into the wealth management industry and Rathbones, learning from our people at all levels, from trainees to senior management. You will also have the opportunity to work on a case study project, gaining insight into how we work with and for our clients, building your employability skills along the way.
Programme Dates:
- Duration: 2 weeks
- Date: 11th to 22nd August 2025
- Location: Week 1 of the programme will take place in our Edinburgh office. Week 2 of the programme will take place in our Glasgow office. Reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
- Allowance: A £25 per day allowance will be paid on completion of the programme to support any additional expenses incurred, such as lunch.
What do I need?
We’re looking for students currently in their penultimate year of university, who are on course for a 2:1 in any discipline.
