Job Description: User-Acquisition intern (Digital marketing)
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire / remote combination
Start Date: June/July 2023
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £19 000 plus benefits
In this role, you have the opportunity to
be part of a highly successful Digital Marketing team who work on our beautiful apps Pregnancy+ and Baby+ with over 12 million downloads annually. You will create, analyse & optimize advertising and user-facing channels so that our customers see consistent, relevant, engaging and high quality content; and they anconvert into downloads and downstream events of interest. You will support daily operations, execute and optimize new campaigns to support markets in the activations. You will peek into the matrix of consumer facing digital marketing and learn to apply yourself in the ever-changing mobile landscape.
Areas of responsibility:
- Partially managing and executing mobile paid marketing across multiple channels- Facebook, Google, Apple search ads & Tiktok
- Optimise budget allocation, test copy variants, make creatives, drive localization efforts and set-up campaigns effectively
- A/B testing everything and anything, analysing data sets and following up on execution to establish best practice
- Playstore and App store analysis with organic app store optimization on meta data, key-word research and improving conversion rates/ user reach
Seeking new growth strategies to grow our user base – including finding relevant influencers and growing/managing our organic social channels(Instagram, facebook etc) - Introducing “standard practices” for maintaining and managing our organic social channels
- Briefing and defining requirements for our website (non-technical) as a means to host content that can deliver both revenue and user acquisition
- Work closely with other functions like, analytics, content, design and development to ensure best outreach and improve performance marketing metrics
- Work mainly with User Acquisition team to pilot projects and develop best practices.
You are a part of
Our Digital+ team, operates under the Mother & Childcare cluster within our Personal Health business. You will be supported by a close knit Digital Marketing team who are based between Amsterdam (head office) and UK.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
A highly motivated intern who will be passionate about maximising this opportunity to seriously kick start a career in digital marketing. You will also be committed to maximizing performance marketing metrics, and thus comfortable with excel and grounded in logical and analytical thinking. Someone with a flair for marketing, willing to understand our userbase and is creative in exploring ideas based on big picture, while keeping an attention to detail when executing. Has a hands-on & result-driven mentality thats willing to learn and grow.
Experience that will help in this roll:
- Experience in growing their own organic social channels,
- Any experience running paid digital ads would be ideal
- Experience with digital analytics – such as google analytics
- Familiarity with design tools like Canva
- A clear understanding of social channels, how they work and an interest in what sort of posts “stand out” or go “viral”
- A creative mindset to think about new ways to solve existing problems
- A willingness to learn – there’s a lot to pick up, and in a short period of time!
Please note you will need to be in the UK already and will need to be a penultimate year student looking for a 12 month placement/ just finished studies.
